Peco, TNT conduct relief operations
Panay Electric Company (Peco) and The News Today have joined together in conducting relief operations for the victims of flood in the city.
Peco officials and employees raised money used to buy sacks of rice, sardines, bread, and noodles.
Employees of Peco, The News Today, Makinaugalingon Press and Graphic Etc. Printing Press helped pack the relief goods. A pack consists of 1 kilo rice, 2 cans of sardines, 2 pieces of bread, and 2 packs of noodles. A total of 1,500 packs were made.
Gyzer Purified Water also donated six boxes of bottled water which were distributed to children and infants. Meanwhile, 200 blankets were also distributed to the elderly.
Emil Diez of JD and Emillion also donated 100 packs of egg crackers.
The relief goods were distributed directly to the evacuation centers in Lawaan Covered Court and Jaro I Elementary School in Jaro. Beneficiaries were flood victims in barangays Tabuc Suba, Cuartero, Fajardo, Cubay, Simon Ledesma, Dungon and Ungka.
Flood victims from barangays Bolilao and Bakhaw in Mandurriao district also availed of the relief goods.
