St. Luke's donates equipment to Bailan District hospital
ROXAS CITY – Some 34 hospital equipment worth millions of pesos were donated by St. Luke's Hospital to Bailan District Hospital last Tuesday morning.
The turn-over of the said donations from St. Luke's Hospital was coursed through Capiz Governor Victor Tanco, Sr. with the presence of some public officials and government employees.
The donation of said hospital equipment and amenities was facilitated by Mrs. Judy Araneta-Roxas and Mr. Samuel B. Sotelo, St. Luke's Hospital administrator.
The 34 items are composed of sofa beds, refrigerators, television sets, trash can, hand dryers, visitors chairs, TV stand, table, clerical chair, filing cabinet, wooden height gauge, aircons, medicine cabinets, wooden cabinet, wooden dividers first aid kits, bleeding chairs, computers tables, etc.
Tanco said the donated items are slightly used.
He said, Bailan Hospital is very lucky because of the many hospitals in the Philippines only this hospital is the recipient of the equipment and amenities.
He said that Mrs. Roxas was the one who paid the door-to-door freight in the amount of P65,000 so the equipment could reach Bailan District Hospital.
"I hope it will help modernize Bailan District Hospital and improve services to the patients," Tanco said.
The turn-over of hospital equipment and amenities were witnessed by Pontevedra Mayor Steve Contreras, Board Member Esteban Contreras, provincial administrator Zoe Herrera and among others.
