4 Iloilo towns get help from SAHI

Four towns in the province of Iloilo were recipients of relief assistance from Saudi Arabia Ilonggo, Inc. (SAHI), a private organization of Ilonggos working in Saudi Arabia and nearby countries.
Beneficiaries were the towns of Pavia, Santa Barbara, Janiuay and Lambunao which were greatly ravaged by typhoon Frank last June.
SAHI yesterday conducted a caravan from Jaro plaza going to the four beneficiary towns where it distributed relief goods and tools that could be used by the typhoon victims for their livelihood.
SAHI Interim President Dexter Tugbang said their group has always been helping people affected by calamities not only in Iloilo but also from other areas in Western Visayas.
Tugbang said SAHI recently distributed nebulizers to 18 health centers located in far-flung barangays. They also gave water pumps and other equipment to families affected by oil spill in Guimaras more than two years ago.
Tugbang assured that SAHI will continue to help especially the poorest of the poor people in Iloilo and nearby provinces.
Other officials of SAHI are: Manny Legayada – Vice President; Ed Supetran – Secretary; Rudy Yap – Treasurer; Violy Tugbang – Assistant Treasurer; Jory Porquia – P.R.O.; Edwin Eusoya – Business Manager; Danilo Paredes – Assistant Business Manager.
The representatives from Saudi Arabia include: Roi Alojado from Jubail and Rudy Parcon from Alkhobar.
