PRO6 holds anti-criminality and anti-terrorism workshop
Revision, enhancement and revitalization of campaign plans pertaining to insurgency, criminality and terrorism top the objectives of today’s workshop of directorial staff, provincial directors, group directors, and chiefs of police of the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO6).
PRO6 chief of staff, Police Senior Superintendent Edgar L. Layon, heads the workshop, which is necessary for the preparation of Integrated Area/Community Public Safety Plans (IA/CPSP) of the provincial and municipal governments.
Though the local government units (LUGs) spearhead the preparation of IA/CPSP, the inputs of the PNP relative to fighting insurgency, criminality and terrorism are vital.
“We want to revisit our security and other law enforcement plans in our pursuit for a more peaceful, orderly and progressive Western Visayas,” PRO6 director, Police Chief Superintendent Isagani R Cuevas said.
Other members of the workshop committee are: Police Senior Superintendent Ruperto T Floro Jr, Chief of Regional Operations and Plans Division, as supervisor, with members, SSupt Cornelio T Defensor of Regional Intelligence Division, SSupt Melvin A Gayotin of Regional Investigation and Detection Management Division Police, and Supt Ranulfo I Demiar of Regional Police Community Relation Division.
“It is our hope that this workshop will result to better security and safety plans for the public,” Cuevas also said. (POI Jeramae C. Rio)
