Jaro II 4Ps parents leaders take oath
The 23 4Ps Parent Leaders of Jaro II covering the 7 barangays: Bito-on, Buntatala, Quintin Salas, Lanit, Cubay, San Roque, and Democracia came to River Queen Hotel at 5:00PM to be inducted of their responsibilities on the implementation of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) last September 22, 2009.
Ruby S. Lopez, Social Worker III of Jaro II, was quoted saying, “Officers have a big role to participate in the implementation of the program. We will help 4Ps Parent leaders with their responsibilities in following the conditionalities for fiver years.”
Induction of 4Ps leaders was done together with the workers of Day Care Workers Federation Officers, Parents Federation Officers, and Supplemental Feeding Workers who also took their oaths for their roles in their respective organizations.
The event was filled with intermission numbers from the participants who shared their talents in dancing and singing.
The Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) Parent leaders: Barangay Bito-on: Judith Villalava, Ronela Orias, Rosalina Gonzales, Ma. Elena Panchano, Ester Diaz, Chimene Gamhana, Maricel Alcala, and Anne Marie Dawn Vega; Barangay Buntatala: Monica Galarpe, Anna Mae Bagoy, Matilde Panila, Malissa Flores, and Fely Pelagio; Barangay Quintin Salas: Romina Calvo and Evelyn Dignadice; Barangay Lanit: Shirley Abelito, Imeliza Junio, Deseri Sales; Elena Reyes; Barangay Cubay: Daisy Ruel, Rhoville Pragados, and Gloria Española; Barangay San Roque: Clarissa Baylon; and Barangay Democracia: Cynthia Salva.
From the local government units public officials also attended the induction ceremony. Vice Mayor Patrick Jed Mabilog, councilors Julliene Baronda and Lex Tupaz were around to show their support to the causes of the groups. In behalf of the City Mayor, Executive assistant to the Mayor, Mathilde Treñas-Octavio also was appeared.
As Vice Mayor Mabilog summarized the over-all meaning of the activity, “Whatever activities, even Saturdays and Sundays, and even in the evening, everybody attends the important meetings. For the supplemental activities of 4Ps . . . for one common goal that is progressive and bright future.”
