Sapian mayor prioritizes birthing facilities in his 2nd term
SAPIAN, Capiz – Reelected Mayor Arturo “Turic” Orosco, Sr. Ph.D. said that birthing facilities are among his top priorities for his second term in his town.
According to him, six of which are placed at Brgys. Mahanlud, Maninang, Dapdapan, Bilao, and Damayan.
The said birthing facilities, which are funded by several foreign aids, will cater normal deliveries of the mother who don’t need to go to hospitals except for serious pregnancies like cesarian operations, etc.
Dr. Orosco, rural health physician, who happens to be the mayor’s nephew, said that the municipality expects some P1,075,000 funds from European government for the birthing buildings which are all air-conditioned.
Meanwhile, the Sapian mayor said that he will continue all projects such as lightings in the town plaza, decorative jars, infrastructures, health services, education and employment.
Orosco’s wife Dr. Evangeline Oñas Orosco is very supportive since her husband assumed office last 2007.
The Orosco couple, who own St. Francis of Asisi in Manila, came out from their comfort zone and served the Sapianons.
