All set for oath-taking of new city officials on June 29
New congressman-elect Jerry P. Treñas and city Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog will lead in the mass oath-taking of newly elected city officials on Tuesday morning, June 29 at the Iloilo Freedom Grandstand.
Treñas said that preparations are underway for a simple but fitting ceremony after an 8 a.m. mass at the nearby San Jose Parish Church. The elected officials will then have their ceremonial walk from the church to the grandstand for the oath-taking rites starting at 10 in the morning.
Newly elected Ilonggo Senator Frank Drilon will be the inducting officer of the city officials.
To be inducted aside from Treñas and Mabilog are incoming city vice mayor Jose Espinosa III and city councilors Nielex Tupas, Perla Zulueta, RLeone Gerochi, Jason Gonzales, Plaridel Nava, Edward Yee, Joshua Alim, David Jamora, Ely Estante, Lyndon Acap, Jeffrey Ganzon and Rodel Fullon Agado. (PNA)
