Banias accepts Prov’l Administrator post
Western Visayas Presidential Assistant Raul Banias has confirmed that he has accepted the offer to be the next Provincial Administrator under governor-elect Arthur Defensor Sr.
Banias, whose term as Presidential Assistant will end as President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo bows out from office this June 30, 2010, said that it’s a big opportunity for him to help governor elect Defensor when he assumes office on July 1 and also the province of Iloilo.
He said that he did not refuse when the position was offered to him because of his desire to also help the new provincial administration.
On May 10 elections, Iloilo Third District Cong. Defensor won the gubernatorial race against League of Municipalities of the Philippines-Iloilo chapter president Raul C. Tupas, son of outgoing Gov. Niel D. Tupas Sr. (PNA)
