Iloilo guv elected to LPP exec board
Iloilo Gov. Arthur Defensor Sr. has been elected member of the National Executive Board of the League of Provinces of the Philippines in the league’s recent meeting, a Capitol press release said.
He was also voted vice president for Visayas of the organization of provinces in the Philippines.
There are 79 provinces under the LPP, with each province represented by its governor.
LPP primarily aims to ventilate, articulate, and crystallize issues affecting provincial government administrations. It likewise serves to secure, through proper and legal means, solutions to problems confronting their constituents.
The plans and programs of the LPP are approved by the National Assembly and set forth in their yearly Strategic Plan of Action.
