Ten male and female employees of the Iloilo City Government were named finalists to the first ever search for “Model Male and Female Employee” which is one of the highlights of the city’s 73rd Charter Day celebration.
Presented in yesterday’s flag raising ceremony were five male finalists composed of Bonifacio Baclagon (City Planning and Development Office); Armand Dicen (City Tourism and Development Office); Leo Elevencione (Human Resource Management Office); Patrick Andrew Pajar (City Treasurer’s Office); and Jose Papa (City Mayor’s Office).
The five female employees were Leonor Delgado (CPDO); Marilyn Diocena (City Health Office); Merlyn Gison (City Social Welfare and Development Office); Victoria Madrazo (City Accountant’s Office); and Remia Regalado (Sangguniang Panlungsod).
Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog handed out certificates of recognition to the finalists for displaying the right attitude and good bearing in public relations, and for serving as role models to other employees.
“We want to show everyone that the best employees are here in the City Hall,” Mabilog said.
The awarding of the 2010 Iloilo City Model Male and Female Employee will be held on the evening of August 25 during the Mayor’s Ball at Punta Villa Resort to cap the 73rd Charter Day celebration.
The grand winners will each receive P3,000 and Mayor’s citation.*
