2 Pototan rob suspects in police custody–IPPO
The Iloilo Police Provincial Office has already taken custody of the two suspects behind the P1.1-million robbery in Pototan town last Friday .
One of them was arrested while the other surrendered to Pototan Mayor Pablo Perez.
Police identified the suspects as Daniel Perocho, 46, of Brgy. Agmanaphao, Mina, and Melvin Hermosura, 29, of Brgy. Guinacas, Pototan.
Perocho, 46, was arrested by Pototan Police Station operatives led by Insp. Charlie Sustento.
Senior Supt. Gil Lebin Jr., provincial police director, said they are looking into the possibility that the suspects belong to an organized group.
“It is possible that this incident is a track of an organized crime group considering that there are at least four suspects. We are relentless in our pursuit of the remaining suspects,” he added.
Perocho and Hermosura are temporarily detained at the Pototan police lock-up cell while charges for armed robbery with force and intimidation are being readied against them.
The suspects were identified by a witness as those who robbed Reynaldo Naerga, branch manager M. Lhuiller in Pototan, after he withdrew some P1.1 million from the nearby Allied Bank.
They both waylaid the victim who was on board a pedicab.*
