DOLE 6 to conduct safety training
The Department of Labor and Employment 6 will hold a five-day Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) Training Course for about 40 safety practitioners and safety officers in Panay on September 6 to 10 at Amigo Terrace Hotel, Iznart St., Iloilo City.
The activity, to be conducted in partnership with the Occupational Safety and Health Center, is an intervention effort to improve workplace safety and health.
The training aims to equip participants with knowledge on the basic concepts and principles of occupational safety and health and help develop their companies’ safety and health program which they will implement when they return to their workplaces.
DOLE 6 Director Manuel Roldan said the training will help participants learn safe work practices to improve workplace condition and to effectively reduce, if not eliminate, work-related injury and illnesses.
The training will accommodate a maximum of 40 participants.
