Ivisan Police Station chosen ‘most citizen friendly’ in WV
The Ivisan Police Station in Capiz has been named the “Most Citizen Friendly Police Station” in Western Visayas in the Municipal Category during the closing activity of the National Crime Prevention Week in Iloilo City earlier this week.
The winners were chosen by the Regional Management Coordinating Committee and the National Crime Prevention Week 2010 Interagency Technical Working Group.
Other municipal category winners are Tobias Fornier Police Station in Antique, second and Boracay Special Tourist Police Office in Aklan, third.
In the City Category, San Carlos City Police Station in Negros Occidental was first place; Iloilo City Police Station 2, La Paz, second place; and Bacolod City Police Station 3, third place.
“Your recognition keeps us moving toward transforming the Philippine National Police to be more capable, effective and credible force,” Chief Supt. Samuel Pagdilao Jr., Western Visayas police director, told the organizers.
Pagdilao was the guest speaker during the culmination activity of the week-long celebration theme is ““Komunidad at Pulisya, Magkasama Tungo sa Pag-unlad ng Bayan,” with the slogan “Ako, Ikaw, Tayong Lahat Laban sa Krimen”.
“Policing is everybody’s concern,” he said, as he emphasized that “the cooperation of the community to attain a desirable level of peace and order in their respective community is paramount in bringing in development.”*PIA6
