PhilHealth nationwide list-up set Oct. 2
A nationwide PhilHealth Registration Day will be held on October 2 in designated centers all over the country to give every Filipino household and individuals the chance to be PhilHealth members.
PhilHealth Regional Manager Marilyn Geduspan told the Philippine Information Agency the program is part of the agency’s mandate to achieve universal coverage of health insurance for Filipino households, especially the indigents to benefit from the government’s premier health insurance program.
Filipinos from all walks of life, especially those not covered yet, are enjoined to register by filling up the PhilHealth membership forms available at the centers which will be indentified later, she said.
Geduspan said there is no exception, anyone who is not yet a member, the elderly and even OFWs, should take advantage of the nationwide registration.
“Everybody who are still not covered can register so that their names will be included in our data base. As to payment of premiums, the applicants will be assessed as to their individual capacity to pay. If verified to be truly indigents, then they will be classified as sponsored members,” she said.
The PhilHealth is requesting the support of the LGUs in information dissemination of the nationwide registration so that all households will be covered.
“Our universal coverage aims that each family has at least one PhilHealth member so that other members below 21 or those with physical and mental deficiencies can also benefit from the membership,” Geduspan said.*
