FCU seeks support for library construction
ROXAS CITY – Filamer Christian University is appealing for support for the construction of its modern library building from those who believe and support the vision and mission of the university.
The FCU administration is calling on its alumni, friends, and sponsors to help and support the library project by donating financial assistance through its New Library Fund Campaign.
As recommended by the Commission on Higher Education, the library will be constructed in a bigger space and will be equipped with technology and electronic materials and non-print collections to attract more library users.
The perspective of the modern FCU Library was unveiled to the Filamerian community during the groundbreaking ceremony in December 2009.
The three-floor concrete and modern building will have a cyber room equipped with 50 flat screen computers with microphones and headsets, a viewing/seminar room with complete multi-media equipment, a staff lounge, a sound-proof discussion room, a music room with complete musical instruments and accessories, and an assigned place for library users with laptop. The present library collection of electronic materials and print materials will be enhanced.
