Dumarao newsletter out
ROXAS CITY – The local government of Dumarao town has started the publication of the town’s newsletter.
Information Officer Janice de Asis said the “TalaARAowan” is the official newsletter of Dumarao and being published quarterly.
The publication is being managed by the local government’s Human Resource’s Management Office and the Municipal Planning and Development Office.
In its maiden issue covering the period July to September this year, it features Mayor Leslie Warren Benjamin’s executive agenda for the next three years, the legislative agenda of the Sangguniang Bayan headed by Vice Mayor Edgar Arancillo, other town activities for the quarter as well as the various programs and projects in the last quarter of 2010.
As part of the executive agenda, Benjamin has issued 22 Executive Orders for the reorganization and composition of the different councils, committees, action teams, boards, task forces and other mandated special bodies.
The newly reorganized special bodies include the local Development Council, Health Board, Price Coordinating Council, Executive-Legislative Agenda, Monitoring Project, Peace and Order Council, Small and Medium Enterprises Council, Poverty Reduction, Protection of Children, Population and Housing Inventory, Local Governance Transition, LGU Evaluation, and School Board.
De Asis said the newsletter will be a medium for the local government unit to inform its people of its programs, projects, services and accomplishments.*PIA
