Dengue cases in Iloilo reach 5,507; 29 deaths
Dengue cases in the Province of Iloilo have reached 5,507, based on the latest monitoring of the Iloilo Provincial Health Office.
Of the total cases, 29 deaths have been registered.
Dr. Maria Socorro Quinon of IPHO said yesterday although there are now 5,507 cases in Iloilo as of October 9, the hospital admissions are now steadily declining.
The municipality of Cabatuan has now the highest cases at 485, with four deaths. Cabatuan surpassed Pototan that used to have the highest number of cases, followed by Tigbauan.
Tigbauan ranks second with 416 cases, with no deaths. Pototan now only has 389 cases, with two deaths.
Also, Guimbal has 326 cases with one death; Miagao, 294 cases, one death; Passi City, 263 cases, one death; Janiuay, 237 cases, one death; Oton, 188 cases, three deaths; Sta. Barbara, 174 cases, two deaths; and Alimodian, 170 cases.
Other deaths registered were in San Miguel, two; Dingle, three; and one each in San Joaquin, Barotac Viejo, Calinog, Dueñas, Estancia, Mina, Banate, and Bingawan.*PNA
