Quake jolts Capiz
An earthquake with a magnitude of 2.8 jolted the province of Capiz early yesterday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology reported.
Engr. Reynaldo Antioquia of the PHIVOLCS office in Roxas City said the quake was recorded at 7:45 a.m., with its epicenter located some 21 kilometers southeast of Capiz’s capital city of Roxas.
The tremor, which was of tectonic origin, was also felt in the municipality of Ivisan, Capiz at Intensity 2.
Antioquia said there were no reports of injuries or damage to property as an aftermath of the mild tremor.*PNA
