Theft, robbery lead index crimes in Iloilo
The summaries of index crimes of the Iloilo City Police Office and the Iloilo Police Provincial Office indicated that theft and robbery were the leading index crimes or crimes against person or property in city and province of Iloilo from November 29 to December 5.
The ICPO reported 41 index crimes during the period. Of the 41 index crime incidents, 26 were theft; 10, physical injuries; two, robberies; two, murder; and one, carnapping.
The IPPO data, meanwhile, revealed that robbery topped the list of index crimes in the province during the same period with three recorded incidents.
Other index crimes reported during the week include frustrated murder and homicide with two incidents each. Also recorded were one attempted murder and one murder.
No index crimes were reported to the IPPO on November 29, December 2 and 4, 2010.*PIA
