City Assessor’s Office bags excellence award
The Office of the Iloilo City Assessor bagged the Excellence Award of the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) for seven straight years recently.
The OCA was cited for its continued excellent performance from 2003 to 2009.
The BLGF, together with the Regional Association of Treasurers and Assessors in Region VI (REGATA 6), bestowed the award during their Pre-Planning and 4th Quarter Regional Conference in Iloilo City last week.
Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog has commended the OCA, under Engr. Nelson Parreño, as they have constantly been able to realize the goals of the city in assessment service.
Based on the criteria, the OCA topped the revenue generation, management operating system and special project/best practice adopted by the office.
Parreño was also recognized by BLGF and REGATA 6 for being the most efficient among all city assessors in the region in the submission of quarterly reports on real property assessments and other required reports for 2009.*
