38 farmers get CLOAs
ROXAS CITY – The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Capiz Provincial Office distributed the Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOA) to 38 farmer beneficiaries from Roxas City and Ivisan town recently.
DAR-Capiz Public Information Officer Carlette Pretta said the beneficiaries are composed of 21 farmers from Brgy. Sta. Cruz, Ivisan and the 12 and five recipients, Brgys. San Jose and Lonoy, Roxas City, respectively.
“This is the best gift our families can ever have especially the distribution was in time for the Christmas season,” a CLOA recipient said.
After CLOA distribution, the beneficiaries attended an orientation on the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program.
Municipal Agrarian Reform Officer Marilyn Prodigo led the distribution of the CLOAs and the orientation.
The farmer-beneficiaries listened to lectures from DAR personnel and from representatives of the Land Bank of the Philippines and the Office of the Municipal/City Assessor on their rights and obligations as farmer beneficiaries.
