2 more aircrafts for Cebu Pacific
Airline company Cebu Pacific is adding two more aircrafts to its fleet this month as it gears for more competition with international low-cost carriers in the Philippines and in Southeast Asian region.
Candice Iyog, vice president for marketing and distribution, said their company is “lean-and-mean efficient, with a very young fleet of Airbus aircraft and a highly motivated team.“
“This year, our financial performance ranks among the best in the world. We are ready for more competition in our own country and in theirs,” she said.
Iyog said Cebu Pacific’s Airbus fleet will significantly increase in size by 2014.
Its 13th brand-new Airbus A320 aircraft arrived last week while the 14th will arrive before the end of the month.
Cebu Pacific said it will end 2011 with 10 Airbus A319, 19 Airbus A320 and eight ATR 72-500 aircraft.
Its fleet of 37 aircrafts is the only 100 percent brand-new aircraft fleet in the Philippines.
Sixteen more Airbus A320 aircrafts will be delivered from 2012 to 2014.*
