Scion of rich Guimaras businessman linked to death of teener
Guimaras -- A son of a prominent businessman in the island-province of Guimaras has been tagged as principal suspect in the fatal shooting of a 17 year-old teener.
With charge of murder with the use of unlicensed firearms, Lyndon Delumpa alias Dondon was named respondent in a case filed by police before the Guimaras Provincial Prosecutor's Office.
Another respondent whose identity has yet to be established remains to be subject of ongoing police investigation. The victim, Nicky John Gange alias Britong was apparently caught in the middle of the row of the suspect and the victim's uncle, Apolonio Gange II alias Apple over the recent motocross event in Buenavista, Guimaras.
The filing of said case went almost simultaneously with the release of the suspect from police custody. One development that family members questioned yet authorities clarified such was within the bounds of law as Delumpa was reportedly not there as an arrested person but one who sought authorities' assistance fearing for his safety.
Guimaras insiders said tension is felt in the victim's community in San Miguel, Jordan where the suspect's family is also known in the area. It is feared that more trouble is brewing between the two camps.
