Jed ‘stoned’ anew
It seems that where Vice Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog is, stones most likely follow.
Mabilog, who is gunning the mayoralty seat against former Justice Secretary Raul Gonzalez, Sr. and former Local Water Utilities Local administrator Lorenzo Jamora, was again stoned by unidentified people while on a political caucus at Brgy. Baldoza, La Paz, Iloilo City.
It was already the second incident wherein Mabilog was hurled with stones while attending their political rally.
Mabilog, who personally booked the incident at La Paz Police Station, claimed that he was going through his speech when he heard a thud.
“Gahambal pa sila sa akon nga wala na Indian mango lang na. Pagkatapos sina, may isa pa gid, tapos nasundan pa gid. Hambal ko daw damo na ‘to na nga Indian mango haw,” he jested.
His comment solicited a laughter from the crowd but the stoning incident did not end there.
Shortly later, several stones were hurled on the stage.
Luckily, no one was hurt.
Mabilog was not also hit.
The vice mayoralty candidate claimed no knowledge on who could have done that to him.
Mabilog added that he is leaving it to authorities to identify the people behind the sabotage.
And to the suspects, “Ang ginahimo ninyo, indi ni ya pagpanghalit sa kandidato. Naga reflect ini sa aton nga mga Ilonggo. Naga-reflect ini sa aton peace and order diri sa siyudad,” he concluded.
