2 arrested for rape of teener
Two young men were arrested for raping a 16-year-old girl, police said.
The suspects were identified as alias Ungal, 18, and alias Itik, 21, both residents of San Enrique town, Iloilo.
Together with her aunt, the girl reported to the San Enrique Police Women and Children’s Desk that the suspects raped her at the premises of the town public plaza last September 25.
It was already the second time the two men took advantage of her.
The first incident happened at a hut in Poblacion, she said.
At that instance, she said five men, including the two arrested, took turns in raping her.
The two denied the accusation, but they admitted that something happened between them and the complainant.
But one of them said they did not force the girl as there was apparent consent from her.
He said that if they will be charged for rape, the other three suspects should also be included.
As of press time, the San Enrique Police Women and Children’s Desk requested for a medical examination on the complainant.*
