Partners in anti-dengue drive cited
The Iloilo City Government has recognized the assistance of the Rotary Club of Iloilo South in its campaign against dengue.
Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog gave certificates of appreciation to the socio-civic group headed by its president Dial Jardeleza.
The Rotarians were cited for extending “their unselfish commitment and persevering dedication to contribute to the city-wide anti-dengue campaign with an aim of fighting the spread of infections through massive community mobilization as well as utilizing direct people’s participation.”
“Their dynamic contribution will certainly be a worthy inspiration in our undertaking to continuously promote and uplift the essential components of our public health agenda,” Mabilog said.
Four city public schools benefited from the mist-spraying activity conducted by the group recently.
These are Bo. Obrero High School and Bo. Obrero Elementary School in Lapuz district, and A. Mirasol Elementary School and Mandurriao Elementary School in Mandurriao district.*
