‘Sinadya sa Halaran’ preparations on
ROXAS CITY – All activities in the six-day Sinadya sa Halaran festival in Capiz will be finalized on October 15.
The festival, which will start on December 3 and culminate on December 8, is an embodiment of the Capiceños’ religiosity and their veneration of the Blessed Virgin Mother as their Patroness Lady of the Immaculate Concepcion and their tradition for sharing and thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest from the farm and the sea.
The initial activities include the Hugod Capiznon, an agri-horticulture fair, Capiz Product Expo, Sinadya sa Kalye, floaters competition, Lutong Capiznon, fireworks display, parade of festivals, coronation of Sinadya Queen, Hinampang sa Baybay, Misa sa Plaza, and Prosesyon sa Suba.
There will also be an LGU Night, banca race, motorcade in celebration of the centennial of the Roxas City Bridge, Costume Play, Tukib Kinaadman and Artista sa Plaza.*PIA
