THE first event for the Dinagyang Arts Festival cheered the crowd last January 18 for it was a cheerdance competition held at the Event Centre of SM City Iloilo. The two competing pep squads were the Jaro National High School Pep Squad and the West Visayas State University West Eagles.
December 27, 2009 will always be remembered by Iloilo Councilor Lex Tupas and Dr. Candice Alumisin Tupas because this is the day when their union was blessed by God through the Sacrament of Matrimony at the Santuario de San Antonio at Forbes Park, Makati City.
ALL the elements for a fabulous party were present. Not only was it a holiday party, it was a great way to end 2009 and an exciting way to start 2010. The Mandala Centering Place along Burgos Extension was dressed up for the occasion with decors. Tables were draped and topped with festive centerpieces.
