Last July 14, 2007 different clubs of the Junior Chamber International, Inc. gathered in Boracay Island for their 3rd Area Council Meeting. It is a time of great jubilation to the religious and friends of Assumption worldwide when its foundress, Mother Marie Eugenie Milleret, was beatified by Pope Paul VI in 1975 and finally canonized and raised into sainthood by Pope Benedict XVI in Rome last June 3, 2007. The Assumption communities in Iloilo, made up of the religious, lay, fraternities and alumnus of together with their Mother Provincial Sr. Ma. Josefina Matias had a special Thanksgiving Mass officiated by the Archbishop Angel Lagdameo at the Jaro Cathedral last July 15.
